VitalCare Ranked in Top 25% Nationwide!
VitalCare has been named to the 2007 HomeCare Elite, an independent compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home healthcare providers in the United States. This annual review identifies the Top 500 of agencies, ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality patient outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.

The award was announced at the 2007 National Association for Home Care Annual Meeting. The 2007 HomeCare Elite rankings were compiled by OCS, Inc., a provider of healthcare informatics, and DecisionHealth, publisher of an independent newsletter for the home care industry.

VitalCare Ranked in 95th Percentile Statewide
for Quality Home Healthcare!
HealthInsight, a private nonprofit Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, has published a 2007 report ranking VitalCare above 95% of the 297 Michigan home healthcare agencies studied. Achieving a 95th percentile ranking means that VitalCare performed better than 95 percent of all home healthcare agencies in the study in the State of Michigan.
In Northern Michigan and the Eastern Upper Peninsula, VitalCare achieved the highest quality rating. Below is a summary of rankings based on percentile for Northern Michigan and Eastern Upper Peninsula Home Health agencies.

- Alpena General Home Care, Alpena – 86%
- District Health Department #4, Alpena – 69%
- Munson Home Care, Traverse City – 67%
- Marquette General Home Health, Marquette – 56%

- Northwest Michigan Community Health Agency, Charlevoix – 37%
- LMAS Home Health, Newberry – 34%

Hospice House Solarium and Reflection Garden Announced - VitalCare will be working with community partners to add a 1,000 square-foot Solarium to Hospice House, and develop a one-acre Reflection Garden on the Hospice House Campus in Cheboygan. The Solarium will add a much-needed patient retreat and gathering space for families,and will feature large window panels for an unobstructed view of the garden outside. The Reflection Garden will include Northern Michigan flora, a soothing waterfall and a Native American Circle of Life Healing Garden. Hospice House residents and their families will relax ad enjoy this natural environment, and the Garden will be available to the community for special events.
